Wedding Belles

Love is in the air for our two Victorian brides… or is it a something a bit more mercenary? Join us in the 19th Century for a well-dressed wedding celebration!

It is 1874 and Miss Mary Marston, seamstress, puts the finishing touches to the bridal gown of Society bride Felicia Graves. While Felicia prepares for her grand occasion, Mary plans her own cosy marriage to Tom the blacksmith, Two very different weddings but two very charming characters, created from contemporary letters, newspapers and etiquette guides to highlight the different aspirations of rich and poor brides.

In `Wedding Belles' the audience will enjoy discovering the truth about the battle between romance and real life, learning about Victorian wedding customs, and, of course, admiring the bridal finery.

"I dragged my husband and father-in-law to see `Wedding Belles' and they both thought it was wonderful!"
